This is my set up, other ITC researchers may differ, but the set up below is the one I have worked towards and in ways been guided to gain my best results. ![]()
Equipment:A Basic rundown on my set up:![]() 1. Video camera with best quality AV lead that’s goes from the cam connection to the TV 'video in' (The yellow push in on the TV set) This Bypasses the tuner, to rule out external source. 2. The Channel is set to AV1 or AV2. 3. The Video Cam is placed 2 meters from the TV set. 4. All electronic equipment is switched off (Telephone land line is unplugged, PC turned off, cell phones are turned off and all nearby TV sets) this again is to rule out external sources. 5. I then connect a fire wire cable from the camera to my laptop. ![]() 6. I then aim the camera towards the TV screen, until I can view a screen within a screen on screen effect, each screen being somewhat smaller, until at the end of the tunnel is a bright light. I then aim my Camera towards the edges of the screen or corner and gently zoom in until I get a white/blue pulsating light. I then use the TV controls to adjust brightness, I then switch off all the lights, so that only the UV light (black light) and red lamp are present. The onscreen effect should now be a flashing white/blue light coming in from the side of the screen and dissapearing. By gentle zooming you will gain a Wavering effect by seeing the edges of the screens amerge together causing a Ripple. If anybody is old enough to remember the opening title's of the Dr Who series back in the 1970's where you got the feeling of flying through a tunnel, well this is the loop feedback required, the only diference is Dr Who placed a mirror to reflect the feedback which therefore made a tunnel look. We are just looking for the one half of the this. See the Video for on screen effect:
7. I then record straight onto the hard drive of the Lap Top (Bypassing the Cam) this again is a direct line to further rule out external sources and to get good quality footage as nothing is lost during transfer of upload. I record for 3 mins, and use Adobe Premiere Pro to analyze the captured footage. 8. I then use a Vivikai 12.0Mega max to take photo’s of the interesting frames, I find by doing this the Digital camera decodes the image coming through. I have tried saving the frame via the software but find the pictures to be very compressed and hard to make out. The digital camera with high pixelation tends to break down the blurriness and hold the true picture that is there. 9. I grab all potential frames, and then run them through Adobe Photoshop CS3 to further filter true pictures from ‘Pareidolia’. All true pictures are then cropped to 150-pixel width. Analyzing Frame by Frame:10. When Analyzing the footage from the session it is very important to note that if an Image doesn’t catch your eye within a few seconds of viewing a frame, please don't look for one!! You must be very strict with yourself, because by looking to much into the frame we are then dealing with 'pareidolia' so please keep disciplined and disregard any further images that you happen to see after a few seconds. Viewing I.T.C Pictures:On viewing I.T.C picture its best that you sit slightly back from the screen, as the picture is far more clear to the eye. This is due to the build up of the speedy nature of the Loop and viewing the pictures to close wil not do them justice. I must stress! The only alterations that are made to the pictures I recieve, Is I may convert the Picture to Black and white for better contrast or lower the brightness/contrast in the picture only if it needs it... I do not under 'any circumstances' draw in or practise fakery etc!! What would be the point of my journey if I did so?? The Pictures are all how they appear to me while analyzing.
